Terms of Service

Last updated: July 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the IMEIAPI.net website and API (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

IMEIAPI.net provides a programmatic interface (API) that resolves IMEI numbers into device identity information such as brand, model, code name and device type. The Service is intended for business use — for example buyback platforms, resellers, wholesalers, repair shops and software integrators.

2. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity performed with them. Do not embed API keys in public client-side code or share them with third parties. Notify us immediately at support@imeiapi.net if you suspect unauthorized use of your key.

3. Trial, plans and billing

New accounts start with a 7-day trial limited to 100 checks per day. Paid subscription plans include a fixed monthly quota of API checks as described on the pricing page. Quotas do not roll over between billing periods. Requests above your quota are rejected with HTTP 429 and are never silently billed. Prices may change; we will announce changes in advance and they take effect from your next billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) resell raw access to the Service without a separate agreement; (b) use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others, including privacy laws; (c) attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorized access to the Service; (d) circumvent quotas, rate limits or trial restrictions, including by creating multiple accounts.

5. Data accuracy

Device data is compiled from industry allocation databases. While we work to keep it accurate and current, the Service is provided "as is" and we do not warrant that every response is complete, accurate or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for how you use the returned data in your own products and decisions.

6. Availability

We aim for high availability and publish current status at our status page, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Planned maintenance and factors outside our control may affect availability. Enterprise customers may agree individual SLA terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its website, documentation and branding, remains our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the API and the returned data within your own products and internal processes for as long as your account is active.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost data.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by e-mail or on the website at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
